Say this with me: “I scream!  You scream!  WE ALL SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM!!!!”  I work with some pretty cool people in Tyler, TX.  So in the middle of some unusual down time, myself with Lucky Larry and Mandee Montana from sister station Mix 93.1 decided to try the new ice cream flavor from Blue Bell called “Bride's Cake”

Now, since I'm not the married one in the group I asked them both to explain the difference between the Groom’s cake and the Bride’s cake.  So Larry explained that the “Groom’s cake” is very different from the “Bride’s cake”.  Basically the "Groom's cake" is a small chocolate cake while Mandee explained the bride’s cake is this gigantic Empire State Building figure looking beautiful.  (Bride 1 – Groom 0)

Let’s dig deeper shall we!  I was wondering what was in the Bride’s Cake Ice Cream and the ingredients are as follows:  Almond Flavored Ice Cream w/ Cake Pieces, and Amaretto Flavored Cream Cheese Icing.  Sounds like sugar and spice and everything nice.

Now let’s look at the ingredients for the Groom’s Cake.  This ice cream has:  Chocolate Ice Cream w/ Chocolate Cake Pieces, Chocolate Coated Strawberry Hearts, Swirls of Strawberry Sauce, and Chocolate Icing.  Did I mention they had chocolate in this ice cream?

Enough talking!  In the video above I conducted a taste test to see which is better and I have to admit that the Bride's Cake was delicious!  You can taste all of the ingredients and the cake pieces really brings it out.  Now I'm not gonna discriminate against the Groom's Cake - if you love chocolate and strawberries this is for you.  You wouldn't be disappointed with this combination.

In conclusion, you can't go wrong with either flavor.  However, it would be nice if married couples got together and conducted their own taste test and made a determination, but as for me when it comes to my favorite.  I'm sitting on the Bride's side......
