Hey y'all! I'm Kenny Smith, where you'll find me from 7 p.m. to midnight on Classic Rock 96.1. After spending much of my 29 years of radio in the "country world," I'm back in my comfort zone of true Classic Rock. I'm the son of longtime DFW entertainer/author Annie Golightly, and nephew to former US Congressman/WFAA weatherman Dale Milford, so I grew up in Plano and Ft. Worth. I cut my teeth on the mic at Dan Rather's 1st station, KSAM in Huntsville, before landing in Tyler in January of 1989. When I'm not hanging out with my amazing wife, Margie in our log home in Lindale, you can find me fishing, playing golf with one of my six sons, Jason, or providing DJ services for any number of non-profit agencies that ask for my time. I have been providing music for United Way, ARC of Smith County, Special Olympics, Fun Lovers Special Needs Dances, and Camp Heyday/Camp Kennedy for more than 25 years. When school is in session, I juggle play-by-play/color duties in football, basketball, and softball for local high schools as well as TJC and UT Tyler.
