I was born and raised in East Texas and started working in radio when I was just 15 years old. I have spent the last 22 years on the air here in East Texas, but have also done work in Dallas, Waco, Lufkin, and Ft. Smith! I graduated from John Tyler High School in 1992 and attended TJC as part of their criminal justice program. I currently live in Lindale with my wife, four kids, and weenie dog “Snickers”. It’s kind of weird for me having a family that big since I grew up as an only child! What do you love the most about radio? I love the fact that now radio is more than just a tuner and a set of speakers. Radio can now be heard around the world through internet streaming and cell phone apps. I also enjoy the social-media aspect of radio where we can truly communicate with fans of the radio station on a personal level. I can look at their Facebook profile and really get to know them! A lot better than just talking to them on the request line! What is your favorite band/ artist/ album? I love all types of music, but mostly rock music. AC/DC, Van Halen, Led Zepplin, Nickelback, etc. My favorite album of all time is Back In Black by AC/DC! Biggest pet peeve? I have a bunch…most all of them have to do with driving. People who don’t use their blinkers, and people who think the center turn lane is an actual driving lane! I also get aggravated when people at the check-out line wait until the cashier is finished ringing up their merchandise until they start to fill out their checks! Besides, who uses checks any more anyway?!?! Hobbies? I love to ride motorcycles. I got my license a few years ago and enjoy going for long country rides around East Texas. It really helps to clear your mind and relax you. I don’t have a Harley yet…but will when I grow up!
