A line of showers and thunderstorms is moving north through East Texas. Small hail, winds gusting near 70mph and lots of lightning and rain expected as these storms move through the area. The severe thunderstorm watch is expected to be expanded to add more counties in NE Texas later this afternoon.

A little girl in Georgia scared off a would-be kidnapper by remembering what her parents had taught her about “stranger danger.” She was looking at toys just a few aisles over from where her mother was shopping at Walmart when 25-year-old Thomas Woods allegedly tried to pick her up and cover her mouth.
