Gospel Fest 2014 done East Texas Style is coming to Caldwell Auditorium in Tyler on Saturday, June 14. This contest is open to Gospel Choirs in East Texas who would like to win $1,000 for their Choir. This year's event will be hosted by Season 3 American Idol finalist George Huff and myself, Hot 107.3 Jamz' Shani Scott.

Gospel Fest 2014 Choir Contest is a search for the best gospel choirs in East Texas. There are three separate rounds in this Contest: the Video Audition Round (“Round 1”); The Fan Round 2 where the Top 10 Fan finalists will be invited to sing at a live event at Caldwell Auditorium to win the honor of being named the Best Gospel Choir in East Texas.

In (“Round 3”) the Grand Finale Round, the top 3 finalists from Round 2 will sing two songs to win the honor of being named the Best Gospel Choir in East Texas.

Registration today, at 7 p.m. at the Hot 107.3 Jamz studios at 3810 Brookside Drive, Tyler, TX 75701. A representative for the choir wanting to participate must attend this informational session to pick up registration forms.

Important facts about Gospel Fest 2014:

  • Each performing member of the choir must be a legal resident of the forty-eight (48) continental United States or the District of Columbia (excluding Puerto Rico, Alaska, Hawaii, and other U.S. Territories and possessions
  • Each performing member must be at least 18 years of age as of May 31, 2014

  • 1st place - $1,000 and 1st place trophy
  • 2nd place - $500 and 2nd place trophy
  • 3rd place - $250 and 3rd place trophy
