The world will say goodbye to the Queen of Soul for one last time.

According to our media partner KLTV, the funeral for Aretha Franklin will be held on August 31st in her hometown of Detroit, Michigan.

Services will be held at Greater Grace Temple and will be limited to family and friends per her Publicist Gwendolyn Quinn.

There will be a public viewing taking place August 28th – 29th at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.

She will then be entombed with her father Rev. C.L. Franklin; her 2 sisters Carolyn and Erma Franklin; her brother Cecil Franklin; and nephew Thomas Garrett.
