Do you remember when a couple of heroes completed their quest to visit every last standing Whataburger in the country? That was a pretty incredible feat, reported by Texas Monthly, as their final Whataburger visit to complete the task was in Dallas - restaurant number 729. It's actually really an amazing story that began with cancer and radiation therapy, and ended with a big celebration.

BuzzFeed reports that there is now an elderly couple that is just one stop away from visiting (and ordering something at) every single Cracker Barrel Old Country Store in the United States - that's 644 out of a total 645! What's cool is they don't just pull into the parking lot, they have to do two things for the visit to count:

  1. buy something
  2. leave a tip

This is a 40-year, 5 million+ mile journey for the Indiana couple, Ray and Wilma Yoder. According to Texas Hill Country, it all started when Ray was working as a Recreation Vehicle delivery driver, which had him travel across the country often. He told the Lebanon Democrat:

It took the boredom out of being on the road. It has a down-home spirit, and everybody is friendly. It’s like being at home.

If you've ever been, he's right. It's not just the food that's southern at Cracker Barrel, it's their hospitality too.

There are 52 Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores in the state of Texas, which they've already covered. The last remaining location, according to BuzzFeed, is in Tualatin, Oregon.

Best of luck to the hungry couple!
