3-Year-Old Girl Still Missing Since Saturday, Father Allegedly Responsible

On Saturday, news outlets throughout Texas reported of an Amber Alert after a father in Richardson, TX allegedly punished his three-year-old daughter by making her stand outside at 3 am. Some sources have said it was in an alley and others have said in backyard right next to an alley.

When he returned 15 minutes later, little Sherin Mathews was nowhere to be found. CBS reported that the father, Wesley Mathews, put her outside because she didn't drink her milk. He also said he knew coyotes have been seen where he left her but felt they were not an immediate danger.

The Richardson Police Department shared the post two days ago and stated:L

She approximately 36" tall and weighs about 22 pounds. She suffers from developmental issues and has limited verbal communication skills. She was last seen wearing a pink top, black pajama bottoms and pink flip flops.

According to NBC, Mathews didn't report she was missing until about 8 am. He has since been arrested on the charge of abandoning or endangering a child. Despite a large search party including officers and search dogs.

Sherin has still not been found, but news outlets are sharing a photo of her to help increase chances of her getting home safely. Her father, Wesley, has his bond set for $250,000.
